Para la novena entrega de Dealer of Illusions tenemos el honor de lanzar el EP début de un personaje único para la escena de música electronica mexicana. Vic Paz (Tamaulipas, México) es mejor conocido por su proyecto "Club del Ritmo", una investigación que busca indexar y conocer las distintas caras y ritmos que conforman la escena contemporánea de música electrónica del mundo de habla hispana. Por lo general el mundo conoce a Vic como la persona que documenta la creación de música, ahora él se sumerge en esta experiencia, lo cuál nos resulta sumamente interesante y afortunado que suceda, ya que nos da un vistazo al tipo de ideas sonoras que rigen la mente de un investigador de su categoría. Para DOI-009 Vic nos ha entregado Errors EP, un cuarteto de piezas resultado de un trabajo de 6 meses durante los cuales el artista e investigador logró traducir señales de electricidad cerebral a ondas sine con un rack modular. Vic utilizó elementos de su investigación para combinarlos con controles y elementos externos, buscando una forma de digerir el sonido a algo apto para alguna pista de baile donde el glitch y la influencia del sonido Raster-Noton son base un suceso crudo, minimalista y persistente.

For DOI's ninth release we have the honor of launching an EP debut from one of Mexico's electronic scene's most unique characters. Vic Paz (Tamaulipas, México) is better known for his investigative work on "Club del Ritmo", an ongoing investigation that looks to put a face and name to all the different characters that make up the contemporary electronic music scene in Latinamerica. Usually Vic is known for being the person investigating and meeting the creators of sound, now he immerses himself in the creative experiences, something that for us is deeply interesting and fortunate, as we get a rare look into the sonic ideas that make up this researcher's mind. For DOI-009 Vic releases Errors EP, four tracks that are the result of 6 months worth of work in which the artist and researcher managed to traduce electrical brain signals into a sine using a modular rack. Vic used different elements from this investigation in combination with external controls and other elements in order to create something he considers a bit more universal and designed for a given dancefloor where Glitch and the influence of Raster-Noton are the base of a raw, persistent and minimalist event.
