DJ Chedraui es un artista de Xalapa, Veracruz con una visión que contrasta e ironiza la cultura que lo rodea en el mundo real como el virtual. Artesano especialista en los collages y el cut and paste tanto en lo visual como sonoro, Chedraui trae este "Género Urbano" EP como un concepto que nos habla, sí, un poco del reggaetón, pero también sobre algunos aspectos del entorno y el ambiente que se vive actualmente en México. Esta entrega tiene un espíritu visceral y ruidoso que nos habla del espíritu que mueve al perreo y el reggaeton pero también de una sociedad afligida por el abuso de poder como de la cultura que lo perpetúa.

DJ Chedraui is an artist hailing from Xalapa, Veracruz with a vision that creates contrast and irony based on the culture that surrounds him IRL and URL. He's an artisan who specializes in the arts of collage and cut and paste in the realms of both the visual and the auditive. Chedraui present this "Género Urbano" EP, in reference to modern day hip-hop and reggaeton culture in latin america, as a concept that speaks, of course, about reggaeton but also about certain aspects of the environment and atmosphere currently experienced in Mexico. This entry carries a visceral and noisey spirit that can relate to how an intense reggaeton party is experienced but also of a society that perpetuates abuse of power in its culture.
